Glossary

Collagen is the main protein found on skin, cartilage, bone, and connective tissue.

Connective Tissue is the tissue that binds and supports other tissues. Kinds of connective tissue include bone tissue and cartilage tissue.

Elastin is a similar protein to collagen, and plays the main role providing elasticity to the connective tissue.

Liftmassage is a technique to mechano-stimulate skin and boost fibroblasts’ activity, resulting in a firmer and smoother face. It works on the face, neck, and décolleté.

Endermologie is the Science of Cellular Stimulation, and has been conclusively proven in more than 85 clinical studies. This process acts on skin aging and fat storage in a natural, physiological manner, reactivating dormant cells by mechanically stimulating the skin.

Face-lift is a painful surgical procedure to literally lift the skin of the face and tighten it. Nothing is done regarding elasticity and firmness.

Fibroblasts are cells that produce the necessary proteins to create collagen and elastin fibers and the substance between the cells of connective tissue.

Lipolysis is a natural process that breaks down fat stored in fat cells.

Lipomassage is a slimming technique that reactivates lipolysis by mechanically stimulating the skin to erase localized fat and imperfections.

Liposuction is a surgical procedure, under anesthetic, with long and painful consquences. It acts on deep localized fat and not on orange peel skin.
